Alone after 40 years

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Terry, there is not a replacement for your precious wife. I thank the Lord that you had years to know and love her, that she did not suffer long. My prayers are with you. Look to the Lord.

Terry - while I don't know you in person I'm grateful for your contributions to this community and grieve with you for your loss. It took a great deal of courage to share your emotions on your sleeve with us and I'm grateful for your trust to help in any possible way. May God be with you during this very difficult time and allow you to remember the times shared rather than the time lost. Godspeed. Tom

Like Mike said Terry, there are No words I can say that will help you in Any Way....
I lost my wife just 114 days ago, 15 weeks, 47 yrs married, 50 yrs 1 month together, stuck like glue together, and my grief has Not Lessoned at all,
worst in some situations, a bit softer in others...I know "we both" spoke of getting together in the past when I come thru the Platt river country 2 times a year, , I reckon we will have to do that later this summer and set down and talk about our the wives and have a damm good cry together.........You will be on my mind Daily Ol hoss, and I wish the best for you during this time

So sorry to read of your loss. The simple word of man can do little to ease the pain.

Gods peace to you and your family Terry.
May God’s light bless you when the darkness of grief is overwhelming. May God’s presence comfort you when you’re missing your loved wife, and may God’s love remind you that you are never alone.
It's always important to know what you don't know.

Terry, saddened to learn about the sudden loss of your wife. I pray the Lord may comfort you and give you strength during this time. Be comforted that in time the pain of her loss will lessen, and memories of the joys of your life together will remain. May you Take strength from friendships and your faith.

So sorry to read of your loss Terry, I don't personally know you but my heart hurts for you as I can tell from your words how much she meant to you.
Your life will not be the same without her no doubt but with time I pray that the pain will gradually fade.

Terry, I'm sorry I missed this until now. I know that God has stayed with you through the past ten days and He will stay with you, comfort you and strengthen you in the days ahead.

I am so sorry for your loss and cannot even imagine how you feel.
