How about a quick prayer for Dale (Orvet)

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Sorry Dale, that's a bummer. But glad your surgery was otherwise successful.

When that nurse comes in at 3:00 AM and wakes you up to check your blood pressure, tell her hi for me. I'm sure it's the same nurse I had, or one of her relatives!

Thanks guys! I certainly appreciate all the prayers, they made a huge difference in the speed of my recovery. My doctors and nurses were surprised at how quickly I recovered, especially since the surgery was done by incision instead of the scope. My doctor said she tried to use the scope but encountered too much scar tissue from previous surgeries so she had to use an incision. I have about a 9 inch incision below my rib cage on my right side that has been closed with staples. It looks like a spiral-bound notebook has been embedded in my side. Looks strange!

I was allowed to go home about noon today, which was less than 48 hours after my surgery. I was told the doctors usually keep a patient for 3 to 4 days post op, if they had their gall bladder removed via incision.
The doctor told me I have to take it easy for six weeks and can’t lift more than 12 to 15 pounds, or else I could get a hernia.

Thanks again for all your prayers and well wishes, they really needed difference in speed of my recovery!
