It's been a hard year

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

It's been a hard year

Post by Shearer »

I did a earlier post where I had lost my wife and daughter inlaw.
Last Friday night my house was a total write off after a storm.I was inside at the time.
One minute at about 11pm I could hear a distance roar than the next thing I had hail and water coming in through the roof.
I am insured and I did save the pocket knives.
This is the first time in my life I am wishing the year would finish and the next one will start ( It's a saying with farmers next year will be better other wise we would give up ).
I am using a borrowed computer that do this post so if I cannot answer you posts sorry.

Grant I'm very sorry you've been through so much. If I've learned anything from my own personal trials it is that God is always there and He will provide a way. I'll pray for you that God will bless you in the coming days.

Shearer,
Reading about your issues caused me to think of a couple of things in the Scriptures. First the story of Job and all that fell in his lap and then the account of the plagues in Egypt, one of them was hail. We do well to recognize it's all in God's mighty hand, He'll provide a way. Seems people in agriculture fall in two categories. Either they are great men of faith, thinking about next season or they are just plain gamblers. Hang in there, lots of folks are praying for you.

I finally received my payout from the insurance for my house. It only took eight months and a lot of stress.
All I can say about the people in insurance claims office is they must get a commission if they can pay you the least amount of money.
I could not explain how stupid they are. ::dead_horse::
They made six offers to pay me out before they came to the price I asked for six months earlier. :x The whole time they where paying my house rent.
At the beginning they said that they would not give a cash payout and as soon as I sent them a quote to build a new house they started to offer a cash payout.

I am going today to see a home builder .With any luck I will be in a new house in March 2018.

Horror stories about insurance companies seem to be the norm .... very seldom do you hear a good news story about them.
Good that you can at least now move forward.

Congratulations Grant I'm glad to hear they're going to pay for your new house like they should!
I guess insurance companies aren't much different no matter what country you live in.

Prayers for blessings on you Grant!
I think you need at least a couple years of blessings to make up for last year! ::nod::

Grant, you've had more this past year than anyone should have to bear. I hope the insurance payment is the light at the end of the tunnel and the coming year brings you the peace, happiness and prosperity you deserve. Keep the faith my friend.

Grant I'm glad you're finally getting settled on your claim. I agree with Jerry, you've had more to contend with that anyone should have to face in one year. I pray that your life takes a turn for the better now.

Insurance companies are in business to make money, not to restore or replace or compensate us for the losses we might incur.

They will never pay out more than they take in.

We would be better off if we joined some kind of co-op, populated by like-minded people, rather than pay for insurance.

Grant, glad there is light at last.
