Remington knives with an etch
Remington knives with an etch
We have gathered up a pretty great group of guys with some great knives here in the Remington forum and I thought it would be fun to get all the best of the best in one thread. I'd ask that you give the pattern number so when people do a search for a certain knife it's easy to find. This should be pretty fun.

Stunning knives guys, this is the only Remington I have that still has an etch, R703.
Re: Remington knives with an etch
If your only going to have one that's a pretty good one to have.

Re: Remington knives with an etch
It is a treat to be able to see pictures of these old Remingtons with preserved blade etches. The etching on this group of 5 is faint. Often a blade will have an etch that can be seen only when the knife is held a certain way (see R7833 below).
Keith, My pictures have just the blade with etch open. Let me know if you would rather see all blades open. I know you don't like angle photos but a slight angle does seem to make the etch more visible.espn77 wrote:I thought it would be fun to get all the best of the best in one thread. Here's few that I have, some oldies and some relatively newbies.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Jerry. I would like to see that R4033 opened. That's a hard blade configuration to find with the long spey

Remington R4033 with blades open. Too bad it wasn't better cared for. The small pen blade has a half-stop.espn77 wrote:I would like to see that R4033 opened.

John The five blade sow belly really puts this post over the top. I have seen a couple of these, but never one like yours.

Thank you Harold, I bought that several years ago from Jim Sargent. It was one from his personal collection. Thank you again, John

Here is probably the best etch of a Rare Highlander Boys Scout knife Remington scout knife. This was an alternative to the Boy Scouts that was active in Colorado around the 1930s
Re: Remington knives with an etch
