Remington R3435 info needed please
Looking for some info on this Remington R 3435 I can’t seem to find much about it or to identify it
Re: Remington R3435 info needed please
Your knife was made 1924-1933. Has pyremite handles and looks to be in good condition. Thanks for showing us

Here is a R3433 that is the same knife for you to compare to, only bone handles instead.

Thanks for posting the picture. Sargent’s 6th edition, page 449, lists “R3435, pyremite”. No picture though.

Thanks for your inputs, I couldn’t find anything more than one picture -online of this knife showing that shield. I didn’t know how rear of a find I had found, and/or collector value to ask if I decide not to keep it.
Re: Remington R3435 info needed please
Remington produced a wide variety of shields. I don't guess that on regular production knives the shield adds or takes away value. As you get into the special order knives some of the shields can create huge value to the knife. The blade etch on your knife is what makes your knife desirable to collectors. Proves it hasn't been cleaned.
