Remington Strem pocket knife

The one I have does not appear to be one of the 5000 limited edition. But similar in most other ways. The main puzzle is the X that has been ground into trade mark circle. Otherwise it is very good condition. Thoughts??

Welcome! I assume you are talking about on of these (Stren)? The defaced stamp would indicate it is a factory second; perhaps with some minor cosmetic issue.

Dennis thanks, a flaw makes sense but I can't find one. Additionally it has one blade. Edge, scaler, and bottle opener.

It's surprising sometimes how little it takes for the maker to declare a knife to be a factory second. Sounds like it will be a great fishing knife so use it and enjoy it.
