The original bullet knife
The original bullet knife
I thought it would be good to get an example of all the original bullet knives into one thread. Many of you have great examples and would love to see them all together. And if you have any advertising pieces that are related add them also. Here are mine.

Thanks Bill, I think some of the other guys on here have the other knives to show a complete set for reference. I hope they see the thread.

Fantastic collection! Thanks for sharing with us. That banana trapper just blows me away, but they are ALL spectacular.

Re: The original bullet knife
Beautiful and rare knives posted earlier in the thread. In addition to the R293B and the R1253 posted earlier I am contributing the R1263 and R1273 which add the remaining 2 large banana trappers. These are both 2 blade trappers. The R1263 has a clip primary blade and R1273 has a spear primary blade.

Very nice Jerry. I was hoping this thread would flush you out.

Re: The original bullet knife
The only old Bullet knife I have is a pretty pristine R1123.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Wow, I'm not a Remington collector, but I have always been in awe of the incredible bone used on their knives. I don't know what makes it so beautiful. It just seems (to me) to be a step above other knives from the same era.

Re: The original bullet knife
Bumping the thread to try to encourage more posts.
Here are a couple of versions of the R1613 Bullet. One has the Bullet shield and the other one has the round shield. The etch is faint on the bullet shield example. The Bullet shield version is quite rare. It's confusing to me whether the round shield version is really a Bullet knife, but it seems generally accepted to call it a Bullet knife.

Great knives Jerry, and like you said the bullet shield is rare.
