Remington stuff (except knives)
Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Dimitri that GS box is top shelf material!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Here is a Remington model 121 pump .22 rifle with an original sales flyer. This particular rifle was manufactured February 1941. It is a heck of a plinker.
Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Mountainad82, your gun looks in mint condition. Very nice.
Here are some handles. Made for the R2403 that Scharade made for Remington.

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Thanks espn77! The rifle is in great shape and still a fine shooter. Did Schrade do a lot of contract work for Remington?
Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
I can't speak on volume but all there auto knives were made by Scharade.

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
This is my rarest and most unusual Remington related item. I bought this from the night watchman at the Remington knife factory. He also had several unused pocket knives in their original box that I bought. When the factory closed he brought some stuff home with him.
Back then it was common for knife factories to have their own fire department and Remington certainly had their own as evidenced by this old badge. Hope you guys enjoy it

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Had that for a pretty long time not sure if I still have info on it but will look in the next few days currently at work on rotation in the hospital. Not sure if it was a part of or an affiliate of The Remington Arms Co. but back then if it had Remington on it was something I liked I bought it!

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Yeah, I'm sure your finding it hard to relate! LMAO!!
No regrets Keith...No regrets.
If memory serves,(and it doesn't sometimes) I think this was part of the Remington Family of R.I.( don't know if they're of the Remington Arms Family) "might be hiney hole kin" can't remember. I think it was Thomas Elliott Remington and his father or brother that started the dairy company in the 1930's. I think they went out of business in 1970. Will look through my stuff and let you know in a day or so.
Found this on my phone's camera... this will help.

Re: Remington stuff (except knives)
Very cool stuff guys. Just got this in the mail today. Remington Modern Firearms and Ammunition Catalog No. 107 from 1923. Has their full line of firearms, ammunition, gun care products etc. Even has black powder percussion primers and friction canon fuses! As a bonus, at the very back is a cutlery section complete with full page bullet knife ads!

Rocky,
I was able snag this’s catalog off of Ebay and am very pleased with it. The quality of the printing and illustrations is great. I love the historical perspective these old catalogs give us.
