Remington stuff (except knives)

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

This one is the only one like this I've seen. It is also a Dupont era display.

I really like knife displays. How long have you had them? The knives look unused as well. I have never seen a Remington switch blade. Keith you are fortunate to own such nice displays. Thanks for posting

Thanks Monte. I have been extremely blessed to have come across some guys that have extremely good knives that are willing to part with them.
This next display is one of the first cases they came out with.

Those Remington Cutlery thermometers are pretty cool. I've got a couple of originals and a reproduction.
Also have a lighted Remington Cutlery advertising sign similar to ESPN77's avatar.
Various display cases, knife rolls, wooden scout display boxes, felt counter mat, lots of 1/2 dozen boxes, etc.
Seems my photobucket pictures are missing. :(

I picked up this 550-1 recently. It was made in 1953 and is close to being unused.

Your gun looks to be in excellent condition. Very nice. I got this out of the mailbox today. Box is real rough but the thrower looks unused.

Great looking trap Keith, a box in any condition must be rare. Time to grab the 1100 and put it to use.

I got my first knife role, tri fold, knife holder? Remington calls them "SUNDRIES". Says in the C-30 catelog they are for carrying samples. It's for paring knives and I own none. So, now I'm on the hunt for paring knives to fill it. ::facepalm:: hopefully the price inflation on them isn't much.

Keith I like your fervor/ passion for Remington! For me personally, I like a knife roll to look at but I don't use them. I like to display my knives to look at them and to handle them at will. ::nod::

I'm with you Rocky. I want to fill it with the correct knives then have it open on a shelf inside my big display. I wonder if that's what is was for? Having prices on it. Maybe the hardware store would display them that way?
