Remington knife question

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. Remington knife question

Most Remington knives you see have a pattern number that starts with R like R33333. What is the significance of one that starts with RS like RS3333. Newer knife? Thanks

The S signified official scout knife :)
The R3333 was an early scout knife but it wasn't official.
Always looking for Mint pre war scout knives
