Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?

The Remington Corporation and the knives that they built have influenced the U.S. cutlery industry more than nearly any other manufacturer. From the time America was settled, to the end of WWI, American knife companies struggled to compete with Britain and German imports, but events that occurred during and after the First World War led to a great change in this phenomenon. Unprecedented opportunities arose, and Remington stepped up to seize the moment. In the process, they created some of today's most prized collectables. In an ironic twist, the next World War played the greatest role in ending the company’s domination of the industry.

Mike, Rocky
I do have one more question. I have this knife. No shield and a entirely different style can opener. Thought maybe you could give me a little more information on it. Thanks

Fantastic knife Harold, those cutout shield variations are getting tough to find, love the full-length blued awl.

Two variations of the first version official Remington 1923/24 . Long and short pull on the master blade , I suspect the long pull to have come out of the factory as the first made .

Harold - are the cover black and look like stag? Could you post a picture of that knife? There was an official BSA R3333 but a picture would help validate. Tom

Harold it's not that uncommon for the S to be missing on the DuPont era RS3333 knives .

Picked me up a couple more display cases this last weekend. The oak Remington/Dupont case has all the correct knifes to match the buttons, Missing one knife. The Remington case has been refurbished and I filled it with all etch knives.
