Michael Jordan Limited Edition Case Knife - Son's Birthday

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Michael Jordan Limited Edition Case Knife - Son's Birthday

Post by HB_Hunter »

Hello Everyone

I am new to the forum and am looking for a knife for my son's birthday. He will be 8 in May. He started collecting Case knives last year and also recently started to like Michael Jordan. I did some searching and saw that Case made two limited edition Michael Jordan knives and would like to get him one for his birthday. He would be thrilled with either.

Anyone have one they would like to sell? If not, any ideas on the best way to find one?

HB_Hunter, welcome and glad your son started collecting knives early in life. I’m sorry I don’t know about Michael Jordan knives but would suggest collecting the older Case knives, like the 1970s Dot knives. Again welcome and good luck ::tu::

Welcome!! I also suggest 70's Case knives. Great ones built during that period. Glad to have you!

Welcome to AAPK. It’s good to hear your son is interested in pocket knife collecting. Since he is interested in Case knives I recommend looking into a membership in the Case Collectors Club https://caseknives.com/pages/case-collectors-club They have junior memberships with some special perks for kids under 16 years old. If you join you can sponsor a free membership for your son. I sponsor my grandsons, ages 11 and 13. They always look forward to receiving their quarterly Club magazines, catalogs, etc from Case.

As for the knife you’re looking for, I’ve not heard of it and a search of the Case Collectors Club forum didn’t find any reference to a Michael Jordan commemorative knife. Doesn’t mean there wasn’t one, I just didn’t find anything there about it. ::shrug::

Thanks everyone! He loves the old ones, but I was never much of a knife collector and don’t know much about them.

I thought about getting him a membership to the collectors club. I’ll definitely look into it.

A few pics of the two I found are below. Looks like there were 1000 of each made. The only place I can find them is on Worthpoint and they appear to be from eBay listings. I’ll keep searching.

Welcome to AAPK. Your best bet is ebay unless someone here can help with the Jordan knives. Good luck! ::tu::
