Case Mammoth or Ivory Show Them

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

No responses Mr. Kennedy, you must be the only one who has any. Those are certainly beautiful, of course I like the Ivory best. Thanks for sharing. ::tu:: ::tu::

Gary, amazing knives. There will be more. People just have to discover this thread. These threads get moved down the list pretty quickly on the “active topics” and “new posts”. Unless you check the Case thread you probably missed it, as I did until now.

This will help. I will post these a day apart, if I remember, so this will stay in front of the eyeballs. This is one of 6 matching serial numbered knives that Case made. They only made 100 of each pattern. Scrolled bolsters and serialized. I sent all 6 off last year to Gary Harbour for the scrimshaw art work. This is the Russlock front and back. This is “legal” elephant ivory.

Thanks Gary, Here is another one from that collection. This is the cheetah. After having no success in selling this entire collection as a group, I’ve decided to sell it off individually, so if someone sees one of these that you would like to own, PM me. I will be posting these individually later on the “for sale or trade”.

I forgot about posting on this thread. I promised to post all 6 of these ivory scrimshaw knives. Here is the third one, a peanut. Gary Harbour did such a great job on this little knife. The detail is amazing.
Thanks to Gary Kennedy I finally got 4 of 6 knives sold w/ a commitment on the last two. Thank you again Gary.

Thanks Guys ::tu::
The knife is from the Permian Basin knife club Texas. Their club knives are usually pretty nice when they come up for sale.

Here is another of the ivory Case Scrimshaw. This one is a whaling scene done on a sowbelly stockman. It looks much better in the group of all six.
