CASE Texas Jack White Comp 1920 - 1940?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

CASE Texas Jack White Comp 1920 - 1940?

Post by TripleF »

I looked in my knife book and it appears at though I have identified this as a Case Tested XX Texas Jack white comp. handles.
Closed length is 3 7/8"
I did not find any this style on ebay as they all had both blades on same end.

Main blade has side to side play and pen blade has loss.

Nice find! I'm not sure what book you're referencing but I've always thought of a "Jack knife" as having blades at only one end, and a "Texas Jack" historically has been a 92 pattern, like the 6292.

I think the pattern number of your knife is 04247. Nice knife. I like it.

Yes its an 04247 SP. Secondary blade is a spay. Case made that from the Tested era til about 1967. 47 stockman frame but with one backspring. The older white handle material will often turn yellowish with age.
