Womans boot knife and fishtail knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Womans boot knife and fishtail knife

Post by battletoads »

I am going through my grandfather's knife collection and trying to find out the value for his estate. I came across a few knives that I couldn't find much information on and the shield did not match any other Case knives I can find. It looks like two of these were referred to as women's boot or women's leg knife and the other as a fishtail knife. Is this correct and would anyone have an idea of their value?

There were some Case knives made in Germany I believe in the earl 90's. I'm not very familiar with them and I don't know if the lady's leg and fishtail were models that they made but it's possible. ::shrug::

I believe these were made when Jim Parker owned Case.

Thanks for the information. Just doesn't seem to be much on the internet about them.

this might help you...I saw some of the fishtails on ebay that had sold for around $55 and a mother of pearl lady leg that sold for $79. Yours look to have the original edge but from your pic's it looks like the blades are pitting which will greatly affect their value...can't say much else without better pics.
