Just an old Butcher Knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Just an old Butcher Knife

Post by casez06 »

Found this when I cleaned out my grandfathers garage. Not sure how old it is. I finally got around to putting some handles on it. This is my first time making and attaching handles . I still have to shape them. Probably hard to date these.

They are good knives. I have one sitting right here which I use. Made in Bradford or Little Valley. Knifeaholic can date it better.
Nice save.

I have been putting it off for years once I get it done I will clean and sharpen the blade and will put it use. If only these old knives could talk and tell a story. This one has been around for sure.
