Steel

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Steel

Post by Culery »

I a have a 4 blade one dot 79 congress that is my EDC. While I love my knife, I am amazed at the difference in quality of steel in that of of other EDC which is a straight XX Barlow . It is so much easier to sharpen and holds a edge much better. There is something to the magic of these old steel blades. And the snap is incredible. There is is some something magical about these knives,

Just an observation. It's shame you can't buy this quality anymore. At least in a new knife.
