6488 1940-64 RED

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

6488 1940-64 RED

Post by XxTestedxX »

I've been on the hunt of a red 88 for some time, a very rare handle to find. Got this from Tony Foster.. First time I've purchased from him, Very Professional with a sales slip and a quality little pouch. He said it was best redbone he's seen on a regular pull 88 in 30 years. It was a blind purchase (didn't see it until it arrived) so I was nervous for it to arrive, having very high expectations on a expensive knife. He talked the knife up, as do most of us when we are selling something, but I was relieved when I peaked in the box to find the knife practically glowing :)

Enjoy the pics

(I couldn't believe the red was "better" than my two 75's, I was convinced they were as good as it gets ) I guess that's just preference

Wish it was just as bright, but both 88's I've seen with bright red had the same ton on the pile
