A Second Cotillion Ball of sorts for this old 5171L

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

You got that right Keith. It's kinda like snagging one of your grail knives at half price. Makes you feel all fuzzy inside.

Greg, nice save for a very nice old pattern! ::tu:: ::tu:: I forgot what "before" situation was. Was it missing a scale? And maybe not operating correctly?

Here are the befores Ken . Broken back spring, no firing mechanism and two chips out of the rear scale and a crack in the front scale.

Thanks Greg. I thought I recalled seeing them posted when you got it, but I'm too lazy to go looking for that old post! ::facepalm:: These confirm, a near-miracle has been accomplished. ::tu::
