Good looking mammoth on that one Q!
Re: Ode To The 07
Q - I managed to find one of those grey 107's a few years ago at a show ... same tang stamp - I bet they only made them in that one year.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 1:32 am Looks like The Monkey is back to his usual hijinks getting duplicates of knives I already have. Fortunately, I can never have too many _107Ws, and this 2010 Gray Jigged Bone 6107W is not particularly common (at least not for sale on eBay).

Yes, John...IIRC, you got it at the Easton, PA knife show and then posted it right here in this thread on Sept 29, 2018 (I had to look it up...my memory's not that good!). As you may recall, it was seeing yours that provided the scent that sent The Monkey on the hunt. The first one I found on eBay and got in a bidding war with someone else's monkey which ended up costing me an arm and a leg to win (to Mini-T Monkey, money is no obstacle and only as valuable as the next Mini-T in his crosshairs). My second one cost only about half as much, but the two I bought are the ONLY two of this model I have ever seen come up for sale on eBay (and believe me...The Monkey finds and follows every _107W that shows up on eBay).

Re: Ode To The 07
I purchased that customized Mini Trapper from an eBay seller in Rockwall, Texas. The COA that came with the knife shows it was modified by Barry Hall.

Well, you did a beautiful job. I can't believe I was lucky enough to get it.
Bet you never imagined it would eventually end up in Hawaii.
You can be fairly confident that it has found a permanent home here with me (& Mini-T Monkey).

Hey if you ever want another with mammoth scales or (or any scales for that matter)filework come straight to the source it will save you some $$$
Re: Ode To The 07
I am so glad you offered as I was already planning to ask you about doing a mod for me. (Oh boy, look at what you've gone and started; really opened up a can of worms for Mini-T Monkey's big plans.)
(Keep an eye on your PMs, I'll be in touch.)

Re: Ode To The 07
Q - yeah I do remember that - LOL. I think you're correct on the scarcity of the grey 107w's - a rare bird indeed.QTCut5 wrote: ↑Tue May 31, 2022 4:42 amYes, John...IIRC, you got it at the Easton, PA knife show and then posted it right here in this thread on Sept 29, 2018 (I had to look it up...my memory's not that good!). Every time I think I have all the 07Ws ever released by Case, The Monkey manages to pull yet another one out of his...um...shorts that I wasn't even aware existed. How does he do it? He's a mysterious, magical, Mini-T Monkey!
Case in point (yes...The Monkey is also an inveterate punster ) is this 2016 Dark Molasses (also called Burnt Sugar) Bone 6207W from the Case Family Brands gift set. This sweet little Mini-T has all the bells & whistles: two-color blade etch, bolster stamp & engraving, serial number, unique tang stamp and jigging, propeller shield and, of course, a Wharncliffe secondary blade.

A beautiful 07, Q. Amazing what the Monkey can find if you let him!

Mahalo, Barry, Jerry & Dan (sounds like a barbershop quartet...minus one barber! ), you know how much The Monkey just loves an audience (little show-off that he is!)

Beautiful knife Q, love the jigging and the colors. Two cool blades too. Congrats, that's a museum piece.
