Ode To The 07

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Yes, John...IIRC, you got it at the Easton, PA knife show and then posted it right here in this thread on Sept 29, 2018 (I had to look it up...my memory's not that good!). As you may recall, it was seeing yours that provided the scent that sent The Monkey on the hunt. The first one I found on eBay and got in a bidding war with someone else's monkey which ended up costing me an arm and a leg to win (to Mini-T Monkey, money is no obstacle and only as valuable as the next Mini-T in his crosshairs). My second one cost only about half as much, but the two I bought are the ONLY two of this model I have ever seen come up for sale on eBay (and believe me...The Monkey finds and follows every _107W that shows up on eBay). ::nod::

I purchased that customized Mini Trapper from an eBay seller in Rockwall, Texas. The COA that came with the knife shows it was modified by Barry Hall.

I am so glad you offered as I was already planning to ask you about doing a mod for me. (Oh boy, look at what you've gone and started; really opened up a can of worms for Mini-T Monkey's big plans.) ::woot::

Every time I think I have all the 07Ws ever released by Case, The Monkey manages to pull yet another one out of his...um...shorts that I wasn't even aware existed. How does he do it? ::shrug:: He's a mysterious, magical, Mini-T Monkey!

Case in point (yes...The Monkey is also an inveterate punster  ) is this 2016 Dark Molasses (also called Burnt Sugar) Bone 6207W from the Case Family Brands gift set. This sweet little Mini-T has all the bells & whistles: two-color blade etch, bolster stamp & engraving, serial number, unique tang stamp and jigging, propeller shield and, of course, a Wharncliffe secondary blade. ::woot::
