I just about forgot about those 06247 pens Justin. Those are really nice knives that some folks are not aware of.

A thread on 47 stockman patterns isn't complete without some 047s, which is my favorite variant. That's a nice one you showed there XxTestedxX!

Re: 47 serpentine/muskrat framed knives
Great knives on a great pattern Gents.
Here are a couple. The 1973' "Greenskeeper" 04247FK is the same knife pictured on Steve's second edition as he asked for a pic, page 169. Last year made. Never in a catalog as I recall and others I have seen had advertising and no shield if I recall correctly. Long day, could be wrong but my recollection.
The CASE XX USA 04247SP is also in Steve's book (page 168), but not my knife. Mine is a XX era example. Oddly and interestingly, seems they changed the location of the "For Flesh Only" etch on the SP blade between USA and XX era. On XX era, etch is on pile side, spey blade more rounded rather than pointed at tip, nick is thinner, etc. Same attributes different on USA. Changes between eras are expected and understood but I find the etch change location most interesting.

Re: 47 serpentine/muskrat framed knives
My humble little group of 47s/rats:
I've got designs on a single-blade 6147 so hopefully I'll have at least one to add to the pile in the next couple weeks.

Here's a USA and a 70s 06247 pen. I think I sold the 70's but still have the USA.
