Starting Over

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Keith it's in the Tested Era
Guess I didn't realise case made stainless that early. Thanks for the education.
Another rare knife Larry. ::tu:: Great find. Keith, Goins' dates that stamp 1925 - 1940.

Starting over is a hard thing to do.When I sold my collection in February, I was at a lost on what to do. I knew I wanted to keep collecting but I didn't know what to collect. I settled on Case Greenbone knives. I research what was the best and rarest Greenbone knives to collect, I found the one of hardest Case Greenbone to find was the Tested XX 6380 Whittler. I only knew of 2 of them to exist , one was in North Georgia, the other in Florida, neither was for sale. When I was getting ready to go to the Blade Show I received a call from the owner of one of the Whittlers that it was for sale. I jumped at the chance to buy it. The knife was the center of my collection. Then I went to the Lexington Knife show and lo and behold there was another Tested 6380 that nobody' knew about, and with help of Tony Foster, we got the knife. Okay that make 2 of the rarest Case Greenbone that I know of. After Lexington I found the 3nd and last Tested 6380 ( that I knew to exist ) was for sale in Florida and make the deal for it. Wow what an adventure, for years I couldn't find even one of these rare knives, now I own all three known to exist. Below is a picture of the 3 knives.

Thanks for looking

Very classy Larry. Now you need a HUGE, Case door model display case to put them in and you'd be good to go. ::tu:: ::tu::
