Starting Over

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Starting Over

Post by jlw257 »

Things haven't been to the same for me since selling my entire collection a month ago. I always told my wife it was a investment and when I received a great offer for the group, I took it. Now I'm starting over, not as a investment but just collecting.
Here my start at the Dalton Show. Case Greenbones

Those look like pretty good investments to me, Larry, as well as a great collection.

Thanks Mike, Joe, and Ken.

Wanted to try Tested and XX Greenbone this time, so the collection won't be growing fast.

Great restart Larry! Investment or collection you obviously have a great eye for knives and pick up the best you can. Wish you well with your new endeavor.

I own a couple older Green bone, but they are much lighter, almost yellow. Is a dark green bone more collectible than a light one?

Treejakal, there is nothing wrong with the lighter color Greenbone, I have some too. I favor the darker better, but that just me.

Very nice group of knives!

This is a win win situation. Somebody is enjoying your knives and you are enjoying doing a refined collection.

If I were to start over it would be Case stags. It is funny how you can refine your collecting with more experience.

Super nice collection. Did you get those on Fri or Sat? I don't recall seeing much in the way of green bone, but maybe I didn't look hard enough

Sweet knives Larry.

Why are they so shiny? Hehe, just kidding. Still reeling from the other post we are on.
