Saw the big whittler today at the show after you had bought it and wished I had seen it 1st. Great old knife and pattern, very rare and the condition is phenomenal. Congratulations on getting it Larry. Great to see you as always. Also enjoyed meeting Greg.

Greg and Larry, y'all picked up some beauties. You just have a hard time beating the old Case bone.
Larry I guess you're calling that green bone to fit your recent collecting pattern? Looks good to me!

Re: Case & Case related knives over 100 years old
PLATTS BROS , ELDERD, PA. SUNFISH 1905
After Harvey Platts went to partner with Russ Case, W R Case & Sons in 1905 a few knives were produced for PLATTS BROS ELDRED by the brothers that were left before the move to Androver, NY, I believe they were all contract knives as Harvey took all of the equipment with him to Bradford.
This is the only one of these knives I have seen with this stamp. I believe it was produced by CASE BROS and would welcome opinions of others as well.
Thanks for looking
