Do YOU have a CASE XX knife in YOUR pocket today?????

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

I'll spend some time there. This knife doesn't have a pattern number stamp on either blade. Is that common?
Thanks Steve

From what I understand it's not at all uncommon for Tested-era (1920-1940) knives not to have any sort of pattern stamp. The only Tested knife I have so far is a TL-29 which might not play by the usual stamping/labeling "rules" on account of its government heritage.

6214 1/2 is very plausible - my guess is 6216 1/2 due to rockman's knife being a bare head (only one metal bolster cap).

If you look at some of the pictures that this search link returns you can see some similarities. My quick review didn't turn up a tested example. You will also see some 6216 examples (spear blade instead of clip) and some 6216 1/2 (clip master blade).

After reading your post and looking at the drawing for the 6216, I have to agree with your assessment Ralph. I didn't mind the bolsters. In my limited resources one didn't mention the Tested knives ( Ferguson) but Pocket Knife Trader's Price Guide Vol 9 does but has no pictures. Thanks for the correction Ralph! :D

6292 for me, too. Mine's a little worse-for-wear than John's, but still a great edc.

Yes, they certainly do. But they are nice and slim so you hardly know they're there. 8)

Here're my two Case knives today - Bermuda Green Copperlock and a Sodbuster Jr (for my back pocket). The Copperlocks are becoming my favorite Case pattern.
