Case 6318. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Had the 070 snowshoe yesterday and today, won't waste your time with another pic.
On Wednesday I carried my trusty, well-loved 6292. I believe it was born in the same year as OH's beautiful stockman (8-dot?).

Did not know they made 2-blade 47s besides the muskrat series. Add it to the wish list!
I carried a 40 pattern for the first time in a while today. There's something about the master clip profile that isn't really present on any other Case, almost like a hybrid of the slender Case California clip and the stout, upturned-clip design (I think of it as a "Bowie clip") of my 6292's master blade. The spey is also different than other Case knives, flaring out towards the end, and makes an absolutely outstanding cream cheese spreader.

Thanks doglegg, it sure does vanish in the watch pocket and I love me some Appy bone.
Went with a little beefier Case today... You can see the brand of my phone in the blade.

I have this little 6244 in my pocket today. It cleaned up pretty nice so I just had to tote it a few days.
Before.... And now..... It carries nicely.... Almost gets lost down in your pocket.

Really great knives guys, love seeing all the different Cases from through the years! Here is an old XX Barlow that I have had for a long time but never really carried, as I deemed it to be "retired". Well I broke her out of retirement and have been carrying her the last couple days, and wouldn't ya know she is still quite capable of getting the job done! At work, in the garden, around the house, seems happy to be out and about!

Very nice old Barlow, Mike, glad you brought her out of retirement. Plenty of miles left on that HOK.

Most definitely. This knife was my very first 10-dot and it remains my favorite Case (probably my favorite knife all told).FarSide wrote:Those older Barlow's are nice. I'm sure it is a real workhorse.
Broke out the snowshoe again to commemorate the end of summer.
Re: Do YOU have a CASE XX knife in YOUR pocket today?????
I like the #90 cigar stockman alot ... I have a handful of them, but its tough to find one with good snap on all 3 blades. This is the first one I have that has exceptional snap on all blades and first rate fit and finish. This one has the "deep canyon" jigging - almost as thick as real stag. People that feel modern era Case knives are lacking haven't seen knives like this - granted, they're not all this good, but I'm about as picky as they come, and I can't find a single flaw with this one ...
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee
