61048 SP

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

My yellow knife is starting to go south. ::disgust::
I had an older yellow one do that too. I sent it off to Case and they rehandled it for me.

That stinks. That’s what happened to mine. I surely do love the color of CASE yellow.

Not a 61048, but a slimline none the less. Was fortunate to win this in an auction yesterday. Out of the encyclopedia set. The Cattarragus shield and tang.

Man that is beautiful. Love the MOP on that. Nice sleek design and very well done scrolled bolsters.
