Hard act to follow with that early Case beauty Ralph posted but these three came over the past few weeks and was out of town and busy so here's the group shot instead of one at a time:
1972 brownish red bone 06247
'40-64 red bone with some black 06247 PEN
'40-64 greenbone 62087
Middle one courtesy of Knifeaholic and I've been carrying and using it. Sweet knife. Thanks Knifeaholic.

Excellent Iman! I've been hoarding some of those 0247's lately myself.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Thanks Farside, that was the key. Didn't have any green bone, always wanted to get some. Paid through the nose and out the tailpipe I figure forty or fifty more than the same thing in red bone. That hurts. Hopefully it will hold it's value.

Wow, Keith, that one must be hard to find. It didn't even make it in the 1st addition of Knifeaholic's book. It is in the #9 traders price guide. Y'all sure come up with some fine ones!

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Nice find Keith. In my experience the 76 1/2 pattern is hard to find in any handle material and the stag version is really scarce. Your 5376 1/2 is the second one that I have seen and the first 5376 1/2 with long pull on the clip. My opinion is the long pull and multiple blades marked indicates it was made early in the Tested XX era.
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Keith, wow great Stag knife. 76 1/2/is a rare dude

Thanks guys for the comments and information. I guess I wasn't fully aware of its rarity.
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I also have one. Unfortunately photos do not do justice to how good a knife really looks sometimes.Thunderwood wrote:20190629_155635.jpg
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Thanks to LuvStag for this 1979 XX that I recently acquired. My favorite Case knife.
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
As well it should be. Great little knife.
Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
Knabbed for the neighbor, he doesn't surf at all, least I can do, so it's not mine, but it came here, and I took pics, and then I dropped it off to the real owner. Decent knife, I like the CV.

Re: Newest Case Pick-Ups
I think I would call it pocket worn QS. I think it got a lot of pocket time with not much use.

Thank you Greg. I am very weak on identifying jigging patterns other than something obvious like Winterbottom.
