Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Not a new Case, apparently (since they were still using Roman Numerals for the date stamp ), but, it's new to me.

I'm not a big fan of the full size (54) trapper, but I've previously owned two of these 6154W Antique (Rattle Snake) Bone Trappers because I am a big fan of the single Wharncliffe blade. But, I ended up selling both of them for one reason or another and then almost instantly wished I hadn't. I decided that if I ever saw another one for sale at a reasonable price I would get it and hang onto it once and for all.

Yeah, the Wharncliffe trumps all other negatives the knife might have. Congrats ~Q~.
