Who's Into Rough Black?

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Here is another...

CASE TESTED 6206-1/2 "Tiny Jack". Again, nice half stops and snaps on this "Tiny Jack", as they are called. Blades full, unsharpened. They don't make them like they used to, in my opinion. A whopping 2-5/8" closed. Nice little TESTED knife. Heck, nice knife in any era. I believe discontinued after XX era and never reintroduced.

Picked up another rough black “gum fuddy”. This one is a little unusual in that it doesn’t appear to have ever been carried or sharpened, and no dirt, lint in the blade well nor rust on the backsprings. But it has some light “pepper” pitting on the blades. I cleaned them up with a little Simichrome polish. Only rough black 64047P I’ve ever seen so I had to get it. ::nod::
