Lets See Some Stockman
Re: Lets See Some Stockman
Didn't find a "92" but I did find this, 6275 SP pretty bone Stockman, with Carolina Wrenn, etched on the main blade, ( South Carolina's state bird )----hope you can see the etching in the photos-----by the way, some say the etching takes away value, others say it adds to value???????? what'ya'think

Monk I like the knife myself I would think it would not take away any value but at the same time I don't think it would add, Could be wrong

Here ya go Monk,
if it ends with no takers maybe you can negotiate 'a deal'.
http://cgi.ebay.com/CASE-XX-USA-1965-69 ... 518c199167
The 5592 is kind of an interesting tale.
LC mentioned the 5592 in one of his posts on the cCc forum.
First I had heard of it.
Later that day I found this one floating in the 'Bay.
I sent the link to LC figuring he could afford it better than me.
He was off galivanting around some where and didn't get the
message until after the auction ended.
Meantime I had decided it was in our best interest to corral the
5592 within the cCc membership and we could sort out custody later.
So for now, I'm it's primary caregiver and LC has dibbs on it.
With all those nooks & crannies, I hope he isn't too shocked by how
much 2.5 hrs of cleanup costs these daize.
Other angles besides markside not too bad either.

Absolutely beautiful knives and pics gentlemen!
Aside from my Grandpas' and Dads' old stockmen all I have in the pattern is an Amber Bone 636032 CV. I don't have a nice artsy shot of it so I'll just say THANK YOU GUYS and bring on more pics!

Cloudy, I never did thank you for pulling those knives out of your roll and snapping some pics - so a big THANK YOU!!!
I went away to the Oregon Knife show back in April, and lost track of this thread, so I thought I'd bump it up with a few I haven't shown off before.
A 90s Damascus/Red Stag, a 10 dot 5347, and a U.S.A. 53047.

Re: Lets See Some Stockman
Wosey at my age by the time I made a decision on which blade to open on a fine knife like that, I'd have forgot what I needed the knife for to begin with. They say the memory is the first to go, I don't remember what it was they said would go next.

All great looking knives guys. I really like that 1984 New Grind stockman LC. I have a bad habit of accumulating the Case New Grinds for some reason.

Re: Lets See Some Stockman
Well they asked for it L.C.
you sure whacked them good betwixt the
eyes with that batch, yessiree.
Mr. B, that is a jim dandy of a 47pu.
But you already knew that.
Those 44 just don't float my boat.
About same size as the 087 I guess,
but for some reason the 44 just
doesn't feel right. Somebody must
like 'em since Case keeps making them.
Guess this is where I'm s'pose to post
some stocker pics huh? Naaaa, it's too hot.
