Just picked up my first German Eye. Don't know much about this brand. I welcome any information or feedback on this knife. Thanks.

Re: First German Eye
Mike,
Apologies that you have not received a response to your question but I was hoping that someone more familiar with newer Schlieper knives would come in to help out.
I know little to nothing about the more modern Schliepers and I am sure that is what you have. There should be a way to date the knife using the shield. You might try getting in touch with C. Risner thru the website in order to ask them about when that shield was used.

Re: First German Eye
Thanks Ray!! I had no idea that would be an option. I've spoken with Clarence Risners nephew from time to time, maybe he has some information that might be of help. I tell you, the folks on this website are a literal "treasure trove" of information and help. Many thanks Ray.

Re: First German Eye
Already posted on another thread but I figure this is the right place for it. My first Eye Brand knife likely, I am told, from the early eighties.
Re: First German Eye
Very nice Eye Brand, Quick Steel, but it was probably produced within the last 10 years or so. The handle material was not an option in the eighties to my knowledge and within the catalog material available at that time. Still a good looking knife and a nice one for your first Eye Brand.
