This is my best little one. If only it were bone...
Oh well, can't have everything. However it is like new.

Are you ABSOLUTELY certain that it is not bone?

Yes. It is most certainly the black plastic stuff.

Well it took me a lot of searching and about half a dozen of plastic handled ones, which you can find all day long, but I finally found a peachseed bone 808 jr stockman. It's not in the greatest condition but it is good enough for now. I like these little things. Something about them being so tiny but made with the same quality and precision as a bigger stockman is appealing to me.

Wowsers Paul, that peach seed is wonderful. And the jimping really sets it off. That one is worth the search.
Re: Let's see those little schrades at 2 3/4"
I just picked up a couple of 808's because they were a little different from each other - notably the long pull and the shields

I have not seen a shadow pattern of the schrade jr stockman so I had to get this one, keen kutter branded. The front side handle seems to have discolored. Pretty nice shape with a good etch.

I have never seen one of those. Very nice! That said, I would quarantine it. The 1950s Schrade yellows have a bad rep'.

I found this little Schrade Walden NY USA, 2 3/4" mini stockman knife, pattern 808 in a $2 an item box at a gunshow last weekend. It was real dirty, but cleaned up nice.
What do these marks on the spine indicate? Is this what milled liners look like?

It's a Y326 - odd pattern number for a Schrade Walden.

Just picked up this little old 808 couple days ago - it was dirty worn and used - cleaned it up a bit - still worn and used

My little Miracle Whip Schrades are an 1/8" too long to "make the cut". (Did I really say that?)
