Schrade Knife Store Display Case

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

I do not believe that it is home-made.

I saw one of these for sale at a gunshow a year ago, so I too think it was a factory display case for retail store use.

It's the real deal Schrade display case. Looking at the knives made in at it appears it was made between 1992 and 1994.
The 96OT was first listed in the Schrade catalogs in 1992. The 106OT was last made in 1994. So the display case must have been made in 1992, 1993 or 1994.

If you check out the Schrade catalogs listed on collectors of Schrade are us, you will find one very similar in the 1992 the Schrade catalog. I think it's probably the one you have but if you want to verify that can look at all the details in the 1992 catalog. It will show a picture of the display and then a listing of all the knives and it in the short line portion of the catalog. I believe that is the same as your display.

Kind of fun to look at a cabinet like this and see how many you have of the knives listed on the panel. I only have a few. Some of you guys probably have all?????

It looks factory and based on the "new" 104OT on the top left it's probably early nineties. Now you gotta fill it!

Not really looking to sell it, but would let it go if one of you Schrade guys want it! I sure do not have the funds or the Knives to fill it up, but that would be nice. Donjr
