Texas Ranger Schrade

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Texas Ranger Schrade

Post by doglegg »

Here is a Texas Ranger Schrade my wife bought for me I think in the 90's. I'm sure it is only special because my Sweetie bought it for me.

I think it is a well chosen and thoughtful commemorative. Very good looking.

Don't know much about Schrades but I do know the importance of displaying it in a spot that the giver will see it most of the time! :)

If my wife gave me that it would be the star of my entire collection. (nuff said) ::tu::

The original order for the TXRCDU was in 12/31/98 and for 100 sets.
There was a 2nd order for 2000 of the UH knives in 1999 but I don't have any proof that they were delivered.

Thanks LRV, I couldn't remember exactly when I got it.
