Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.
This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.
Here are some UH dealer displays. The LB7 and LB1 are a little dinged up and the packaging shows some wear. The 706/807 and 124 were still in the shipping boxes when I got them. This is the first time the knives have been placed in the displays! I purchased them in Walden NY, so they did not make it far at all. These are the only uh dealer displays I am aware of. If anyone has info on others please let me know. Jay
Nice to hear from you garddogg. Glad you like the lb5's. I'll have to look up the buck I'm not that familiar with them. Wish I could go to more yard sales. Hard to find the time. I did find a schrade pull ball at one recently. Got it for $10. With a few other knives.
