Re: Schrade 4" knives - Post them here.
I have an 885 with UH stamped on the small blades. I have seen few others like it. Serial #E6127.
Not my pictures but this is my knife.

Re: Schrade 4" knives - Post them here.
I have just looked for the first time, at two 885s in Brown Boxes with all the paper-work.
The one like your knife [A8819] has both blades stamped "UH" and came in a Red lined box with red paperwork.
Its' main blade is stamped "Schrade N.Y. U.S.A. 885UH"
The other [7880] has no stamping on both small blades. It came in a Blue lined box.
Its' main blade is stamped "Schrade+ U.S.A. 885UH"
I have just found an 897UH [Q3078] Main blade stamped "Schrade N.Y. U.S.A. Stainless 897UH".
This 897 has the milled liners.
Another six 885s in smaller Brown boxers, in white sleves - Look the same as all the 885s I have in the later boxes... Ken

Thanks for the info Ken. My UH stamp has a red lined box as well. It also has smooth nickel silver liners. The older 885UH's, particularly the walden's, are just about my favorite delrin knives.

Nice 834 SCHRADE WALDEN ink etched JACK KNIFE BEN. Don’t think the handles are bone, it has to be one of the last knives Jack Knife Ben sold. What would be the estimated year for this knife?

I posted my wavy bone 881 before (the left one) but now it has a brother. They seem to be happy together.

"They seem to be happy together." No sibling rivalry, but perhaps some forum rivalry. Sweet knives!

That's the one . Last month I was following the same knife at a hardware auction in Missouri - but I forgot to bid on it! The winner put it up on ebay as soon as he got his hands on it.tongueriver wrote:Is that the 761 sold this week on ebay?

It's not an oddball but you don't see very many. I have only seen two I think, counting yours. It's a nice one for sure.

I have two of them, neither one minty. One is strange; it has Rogers bone. That is a mystery.

Cal that looks like a different frame. Maybe it could be a camillus or other with those blades stuck in from an 881 or such.

This will make you all cry.
I coughed up five bucks for this senior for the express purpose of giving it an honorable retirement. It’s been someone’s best friend, and for quite a long time.
I know it’s likely post- 1940’s, but how old is it?
The blades are done, but the scales are pretty good. At least it looks nice closed!

Hi Ann, can you read the tang stamp - That may help to work out its' age...zoogirl wrote:This will make you all cry.

The 77OT Muskrat was made from 1986 to 2002.
The Schrade 787 Muskrat [with Walden tang stamp] is Pre: 1970.
I would think, your knife was made mid 60's to about 1973..Ken
