SCHRADE DISPLAYS

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

More Waldens

Post by upnorth »

Here's the last of the Waldens, plus some later Schrades. I've tried to limit my collection to 70's knives and earlier, but there were so many attractive knives made. . . . . . .!! I guess I'm not really a knife collector, just a CROW, attracted to shiny objects!!
Anyway, the Muskrats, and all the knives to the right of them are Schrade Waldens (with a couple having "revived" tang stamps, maybe?)
Once again, my apologies for the "evolving" photography!
Larry, I'll post a list for each display, as requested. LT, I'll get back to you re: evaluation/appraisal when I get the lists done, thanks.
Hope everyone enjoys looking,
Charlie

They are all single backspring, MM! The two serrated ones are from the factory collection, the hawbaker, from a private collection.
