Excellent finds John.JohnR wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 10:06 pm The Great Eastern Rendezvous was good for picking up some very nice vintage knives also. Picked up these 2 Schrade Cut Co's, a 3 1/4" pick bone sheepsfoot jack and a trapper with a corset shield, not as common as the ones with other shields. Both knives in very good condition

I don't think I've posted these Schrades here that were in the collection of Camillus president Nilo Miori, but then again I can't find my car keys and wallet most days.

The 2623 swell-centre with the bow-tie shield really works for me. Outstanding group of old Schrade knives! Interesting back-story too.
I don't always respond to great posts but I always appreciate seeing them. Thanks for posting!

Thanks guys. I only recently started buying older Schrades after carrying a few Old Timers through the years. I guess I have the peach seed fever now.

Old Timers are great, too. I would say that most any Schrade that was made in the USA has a place in my collection. The three you showed are incredibly nce!ObsidianEdge wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 9:46 pm I only recently started buying older Schrades after carrying a few Old Timers through the years. Thanks. I agree about the Old Timers. I still have one that a local bank gave my dad years ago, and they were always in a local hardware store display back in the day.

Oh, no! You are not done until you move one my way. And I know which one. Are you the famous guy on the 'other' forum?ObsidianEdge wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 8:51 pm Thanks luckydog. I have one more on the way and then I'm done! (Or so I tell my wife.)

I'm not a famous guy on any forum. My kids liked me for a while, but then they grew up! I can't send you that knife until I'm done baton testing it.

Beautiful knife!
Re: What is Your Latest Old Schrade?
Thank you all . Was happy to add this one to the collection, only the second stainless steel marked knife I've come across. Interestingly enough the first one I found is marked with a single S while the new one has a double S.

Not in John's league, but this Old Crafty is a nice Walden era stockman.
