1972 Camillus Catalog.

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Old catalogs (and product guides) are always fun to look at. Shame we can't walk into a store and pick up a Camillus 23 for $6, which is $38.39 in 2021 dollars. Thanks for sharing!

Very cool! Thanks for posting it Skip. It's a damn shame they aren't still in business.

Awesome Skip, thanks for sharing! You might contact LRV, (Larry Vickery), and see if he would like to post a copy in the collectors of Camillus website. I don't think that is posted there and it's the first new Camillus catalog I've seen come along in quite some time..

Great stuff my friend! ::handshake::

You are correct, Dale. I checked immediately before typing this post, and this particular 1972 catalog is not posted there.

Feel free to contact LRV (Larry Vickery) and tell him
that he has my permission to copy the 1972 catalog.
I believe he copied my 1967 catalog not too long ago.

Hi Skip,
I can make a pdf-file, but for this I need higher resolution pictures.

I only have the one scanner. If the copies need to be clearer
or of a higher resolution, it's not going to happen on this end.

I have two versions:
1. Perhaps in the scan settings you have set too low DPI value (100 or less). Put 300 DPI and you will be surprised at the result.
2. Before uploading, you reduced the size of the scans too much. The vertical size of scans for the 1967 catalog was 1200 pixels, but here it is less than 700 pixels, and this is unacceptable for a good reading.

Here are MUCH better and clearer copies of the 1972 CAMILLUS catalog pages,
but not the front and back covers. The covers are on page 1.
