Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

I found this one floating in the bay the other day. I was surprised that they made a Timber Scribe in the short line era. But sure enough here it is. Not flashy but proud to have gotten it. DSCN6987.JPGDSCN6988.JPGDSCN6989.JPGDSCN6991.JPGDSCN6992.JPG

New_Windsor_NY wrote: Fri Jun 04, 2021 2:22 pm Very recently I added this to my "general" CAMILLUS pocket knife collection. It is a CAMILLUS 1, single blade, hawkbill, 4" closed, liner lock, short line pocket knife. Actually and surprisingly, it's the only #1 that I have. It isn't the nicest looking #1 that I've seen, but it isn't the worst looking #1 that I've seen either. It has a lot of life left in it. It needed cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

My well used CAMILLUS #1, single blade, hawk-bill, liner lock, short line pocket knife. This has been a great EDC over the years. Now knowing more about the "Short-Lines" I wish that I had been a little gentler on it... ::teary_eyes::

Afternoon Folks ,was looking thru some things and found a short line model 100. It’s been well used and forgotten about till now.
Nothing fancy, used to use it in the shop years ago, time to clean it up and put it away with the other Short lines .

Believe the covers are Maize pyroxylin, or grain white ,or some call it French Ivory .

Evening folks ,just got done cleaning up a little 64 short line, got the rust off, decent blade action now. It’s a well worn piece, but seems to have been treated ok. The handles are wore smooth on both sides, someone carried it a lot by the look and feel of it .
Like to find a 68 like Skips, and need a 66 like G dogs and now I got the fever ,oh well . Take care out there you all .
