Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

Post by GSPTOPDOG »

Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? I wore a mask, stayed 6' away and I still got it. ::teary_eyes:: Here are a #1 and #5 (I have posted them before). I got the fever ::mdm:: and I am always looking for a Camillus "Short-Line" when out knife hunting. This tang stamp was used by Camillus from 1946 to 1950. I have a couple and I am always looking for more... however the "Short-Line" has been a elusive one for me to find. ::paranoid:: Anyone out there having better luck? ::paranoid::

Very cool! I have a few and they’re really nice. But I agree, they aren’t nearly as plentiful as the long lines.

And it's a very nice one! The 23 is one of those that speaks to me; I find it to be exceptionally good-looking. I'd be happy with a decent one regardless of length, number, or lack of lines.

GSPTOPDOG, I apologize for hijacking your thread.

The 23 is a great canvas for customization.

Here's a short line 23.
The 23 is a fine pattern, especially in the short line version with the swedge.

Muskrat Man put the smooth bone on it for me. I like it.

I'm enjoying the show.

A great looking bunch of knives.

Great thread!

Here are a couple of 23's that I rehandled back when I was getting started on knife restoration. I have to be honest - I didn't even realize until now that these 2 were "short-liners". ::teary_eyes::
