Thank you JP.
I don't know how many of the 750 proof sets have stayed complete.
I do know that I've only seen one other complete proof set besides mine (Vit_213).
Thank you JP.
This set is especially dear to me.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:30 am I do know that I've only seen one other complete proof set besides mine (Vit_213).
That’s very nice that Mr. Williams was able to help you. Do you still have trouble getting sellers to send you things. Would be willing to help you if you like . Thanks for posting that link ,great stuffVit_213 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:00 amThis set is especially dear to me.New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 2:30 am I do know that I've only seen one other complete proof set besides mine (Vit_213).
In January 2014, I saw it on ebay, but the seller refused to ship it to Russia. I really wanted this set and asked Tom Williams for help.
From that moment until his death, Tom Williams helped me with the purchase of knives on ebay.
In addition, we started an active e-mail correspondence, from which I learned a lot of interesting things about Camillus.
I published part of this correspondence on the BF - https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/tom ... f.1212906/
Now I have to put together another full set, but another full set that has the CAMILLUS
Your up for a good challenge aren’t you? It is a interesting ? Did Camillus put there stamp on any of those type ?New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 2:39 pmNow I have to put together another full set, but another full set that has the CAMILLUS
tang stamp. I already have the King (page 1). This will not be an easy task. In fact, it may
be impossible. I don't know if they made a 10, Jack, Queen & Ace with the CAMILLUS tang
stamp. We will see.....

Hi JP, as I previously mentioned, I only have these 2 Kings with a CAMILLUS tang STAMP (pictured below & on page 1).
Yes, the fork in the Camillus Collecting road, between you,Vit and others, maybe we’ll see a few more full sets put together or emerge from some place . Enjoy your Sunday out there SkipNew_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 2:46 pmHi JP, as I previously mentioned, I only have these 2 Kings with a CAMILLUS tang STAMP (pictured below & on page 1).
Vit_213 just posted an Ace with a CAMILLUS tang STAMP and a 10 with a CAMILLUS tang ETCH.
Just another fork in the CAMILLUS collecting road.
There's a 10 with a CAMILLUS tang ETCH (not mine) on page 1.
The other side tang stamp reads HD-3 - 440 S.S. - USA.

ZZ , great info . Thanks much for taking the time to put that out there . Does answers some questions . Take care .zzyzzogeton wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 8:29 pm In answer to many questions about it,
YES, the full set was made with both WESTERN and CAMILLUS stamps.
The ones with the WESTERN stamp are from 1996/1997, depending on how you read the advertising.
On 9 December 1996 (date on the flyer), Camillus printed a 6 page flyer titled "1997 New Product Introductions".
Page 5 of this flyer lists the WESTERN Duralens® Gambler Lockbacks - Suggested Retail $22.95
WD110 - 10 of Hearts
WD111 - Jack of Hearts
WD112 - Queen of Hearts
WD113 - King of Hearts
WD114 - Ace of Hearts
This page also depicts the FOUR OF A KIND Money clips, No Tools - Suggested Retail - $7.95
WD215 - King of Hearts
WD216 - King of Diamonds
WD217 - King of Spades
WD218 - King of Clubs
The Gambler series shows up in the 1996/7 flyer AND the 1997 Price Sheet AND the 1999 Price Sheet but NOT in the 1998 Price Sheet. The FOAK money clips show in the same flyer and in the 1997 Price Sheet, the 1998 Price Sheet AND the 1999 Price Sheet.
As for when the CAMILLUS stamped versions were made, I have NOT located that date. Looking through the Camillus catalogs and price sheets that I either have or have perused online, I can find no reference to the Gambler knives.
The CD872, the Queen of Hearts multi-tool, appears in the 2001 and 2002 Price Sheets, and in the 2003 catalog but NOT in the 2003 Price Sheet.
My guess, and it is only a guess until someone discovers an advertisement or other documentation, is that the CAMILLUS stamped Gambler series were 2001 to 2003, the same time frame as the Queen of Hearts multi-tool.
Those are some beautiful knives! Outstanding!New_Windsor_NY wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 1:00 am This afternoon, this pocket knife arrived and it became the latest "card" to be added to the "deck." It is a CAMILLUS, "King Of Hearts", single blade, single tang stamp, 3 1/8" closed, lockback pocket knife. It has a CAMILLUS, NOT a WESTERN tang stamp. It didn't need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.
