Jerry my wife who doesn't cuss puts a cuss on you on occasion for your evil influence on getting me started down this road. But no swearing from me as I'm enjoying every second of it. Thanks for sharing your KK's.

So basically Floyd, your saying it's all Jerry's fault !? I Like IT!! That should be in our reason's when we show off a new knife. Example: "I added this new XXX knife to my collection. It's Jerry's Fault!!"

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Floyd, I have found that on most collectible forums (those with good natured members that are considered friends) a lot of times will jokingly accuse one member of being the reason for a lot of acquisitions. Back on the old SurplusRifle.com forum we had a member who happend to be one of the senior members and was also a retired Navy CPO. His forum name was Burner. Besides being a veteran, and knowledgeable member on older Surplus Collectible Rifles, he was also an expert gunsmith and excellent builder of certain firearms such as semi-auto AK's. But we jokingly accused him of being the reason anytime we added a new rifle to our collections or on upgrades or builds. So it was a common phrase to post "It's Burners Fault". Those were good and fun times. So to me, It's kind of fun here to jokingly say it's Jerry's fault. It's all in fun and keeping with the Camaraderie of good people.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
I added two more to my Camillus 72 Clone Family today. One was one of my Unicorns I've been searching for.
First, a POWR-KRAFT 84-11 Swell Center Whittler. It is 3-5/8" closed, has Delrin Brown and tan jigged handles with the federal shield. It has POWR-KRAFT USA tang stamp on the Master Clip BLade, with 84-11 tang stamp on the pile side of the Master Clip Blade. It has the secondary coping blade, and a Pen Clip Blade on the left side. The blades still have some of their original luster, no wobble, and have great snap. The blades do have some scratches and spots but are full with no signs of abuse. In the photos, it is as I received it. All I have done is oil the joints and wipe it down with a Chamois. Next I added another Imperial Swell Center Scout Whittler to my 72 Clone Family. It came with the box but unfortunately it didn't have the pamphlet. It has the Black composite handles that do show some slight shrinkage. It has the Boy Scouts Shield, which is not bright metal as the other two I have, but also does not appear to be brass. It appears to be almost like a anodized faint gold color. I cleaned the handles and they don't appear to be yellowed, so not sure about the shield material. The blades are tight, no wobble, with great snap, but do have scratches and use. The blades do have some of their original luster, and seem full with no abuse, just sharpening scratches. The Master Clip Blade tang stamp has Imperial, over Prov USA, with no other tang stamps on any other blades. Here are the photos.

Two GREAT finds, Smitty!
The 84-11 looks to be in TERRIFIC shape.
The Imperial looks FANTASTIC as well, and
with the box.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Thank you JP. Yeah, I was amazed when the 84-11 popped up. I figured it would be years before I ran across one. The guy had listed it with a Make offer, so I jumped. The Imperial Scout Whittler was a no brainer for me, As good of condition and with the box. Just wished he had the pamphlet that went inside.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Received this 863 in the mail today . Very happy with this one, it looks like new and don’t look like it’s been sharpened since it’s factory days .
It’ll fit nicely in with the other Variations/ Clones that are parked here at the home front.
Take care folks .

The 863's are really fine knives. And that one looks like a good example. Congrats.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
I'm going to post this here also. Not sure if you would call it a Clone, Variation or an Error. I also posted it in the 72 Thread. It is a Camillus 72Y Carpenters Whittler and is like new with the Box, pamphlet and sleeve. It has the yellow Delrin handles with the double line Camillus Shield. On the Mark side, the Master Clip blade tang Stamp has the double line Camillus NEW YORK U.S.A., with the Yello-Jacket blade etch, but on the pile side has the 22LR6 1997 model number tang stamp. All blades are as new, with original grind and finish from the factory. No signs of use or sharpening on the blades. As I stated in the other thread, these have popped up before, and the discussion is always, when this knife was produced... were they out of the 72 stamped knives, or were some 22LR6 blades erroneously put in with some 72 stamped blades to go through the "Yello-Jacke" etch process, or were these last production before the doors were closed knives so any blades available were used??? We'll probably never know, but it would be interesting to find out. Here are the photos of mine, all I've done is wipe it with a Chamois.

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
Smitty, I'm of the opinion that those were last of days knives and they just grabbed what ever parts they could find to get product out the door. A Hail Mary, as it were.
Check this one. Ground off tang stamp and etched tang stamp with an SL6 Pattern stamp. Swapped secondary blades and a smaller than normal secondary clip blade.
The last one just has the swapped secondary blades and the short clip secondary blade. What the hey was that all about?

Re: Camillus 72 Clones
JP, there are enough that it's not unusual to find them. And most are in surprisingly good shape.
