.....anyone notice the $1039.00 Camillus take-apart hobo knife on ebay???...holy mackerel!!!, mine is in better condition than that one, but I never realized it was worth that much!!!.......

just looked at it, never seen one before, like how its blade was shaped like a butter knifes most have some sort a clip blade in them....that a good amount a money most of the vintage camp or hobo knives made in the US get a good amount ~ I only have my Camp knife that my Pops gave me gave me when I was about 7 years old for are summer camping trips ~ Made in Japan

this one isn't the exact knife mine is somewhere tucked away in the closet or somewhere ~ anyways that is a nice Camillus ~ I like Case's Catts and Kabar's too that they Manufactured ~ Very Cool Knives

The guy that is selling that knife will normally discount his knives 20% so that they are only priced at about 5 times their actual value.
I guess the one I have must be worth at least $1500 according to his price logic. Mine doesn't have a cracked handle.
Now I just need someone to believe it's actually worth that much.

You’re right Wayne, even discounted 20% his prices are about 500% of reality!
I believe that knife is been taken apart and re-handled and cleaned.
Anybody ever seen 100-year-old brass look that bright before?
Has anyone ever seen 100-year-old bone like that with such crisp & sharp jigging ridges?
It looks to me an awful lot like amber RJB jigged bone from Culpepper’s.
I’m pretty sure Camillus didn’t use that bone 90 to 100 years ago!

I like how he says in the description that "you could add it to your collection or everyday use".
I kind of wish mine had a spoon...
