All About Pocket Knives

Guys,
I have this fixed blade knife that I am told is a Camillus. Blade length is 5¾ inches and the OAL is almost 11 inches.
Anybody here recognize this as a Camillus. It doesn't say so on the knife anywhere I can see.
As always, any info will be appreciated.

Cuda is used by whoever owns Camillus now (Acme?) as a sub-brand. Other than that, I have no idea. That's one great looking knife there!

I think that is the CQB1.

There were several vintage fixed blade CUDAs - the CQB, the CQB1, CQB2, CQB3, CQB4, an Ek Commando style, the Arclite, maybe one or two more.

Then there ware a few CQB folders - 3 versions of the Comeback (Camillus M18514 folder, the replaceable edge M18563, and the M18513 folder),the MAXX 5.5,

The CQB versions were made with ATS-34, D2, Camillus' 0170-6C, their version of 1095,if I'm not mistaken.

CUDAs were made by Camillus, Meyerco, maybe some others.

All current CUDA knives (blue handles) and all current Camillus anything else, are made by the ACME Company, the Chinese based company that bought the rights to use the Camillus name back when they tanked.

I'm of the age that whenever I see the new Camillus knives, my first thought is Wile E. Coyote.

The MSRP gives you a bit of an indicator of the quality.
I have a couple of blanks that came from the Camillus factory sale. None of them are tang stamped.

Thanks guys. My specs match these but my sheath is canvas which causes me to believe mine is an earlier knife. I had no idea they were so pricey.
Also, the sheath I have has a pouch or a place for a stone or at least that is what it looks like.

I think your sheath would be one of the "later" ones for the CQB1. The CQB1 by Camillus came out initially in late 1999, IIRC.

Camillus started using these green/black nylon sheaths with a stone/multitool pouch for the Becker BK7 in late 2001, and then also used them for the BK9 when it came out in 2002 and then also with the BK10 in early 2003. I would expect that they would have started using them for the CUDAs around 2002/2003 as well, when ever they ran out of the first style of sheaths. Or they may have had both types for the CQB1. They had green nylon as standard and kydex as an upgrade for the Beckers later on.

I think this is CQB3 , which has removed the epoxy coating.

Models CQB1 and CQB2 were not stamped, but laser markings.

My thanks to you all for the info on this knife that was something of a mystery to me.
