MC-1 Survival Knife

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

MC-1 Survival Knife

Post by kootenay joe »

This auto knife was adopted by the U.S. Military in 1958 and was made by Camillus, Schrade Walden & Logan/Smyth.
Here is a Camillus MC-1 that i have had for some time. It's as new, never used.
When did Camillus stop making these ?
Are these worth much ? or too many in circulation so value is low ?
Ebay cannot be used to check prices for auto knives.
thanks for the help, kj

I got mine earlier than 2014 but tang markings are the same. Likely there is no way to tell when during the 1958-2007 time period one of these was made ? Were there any changes to the military specs ? or same from '58 to '07 ?
i think i paid about the same.
