Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Camillus utility knife 4-line stamp. Shield is unusual but looks original. Any comments welcome

Have three Camillus so far (and one very special one on its way). Two short-line knives - the pruner (my eldest ) & Jack knife (1946-1950) and the electrician's knife with tang stamp "Camillus" over "New York" over U.S.A. and no underline (1946-1956?).
All blades snap the Camillus way!

Here's my first two Camillus knives. They are in pretty good condition. I've just started collecting these, and I'm pretty excited to find a few more rare ones.

Tommy, Thanks, buddy! I wish he did. I'd let you guys in on it so you all would own one. You'd be first on my list and first shot at this one if I ever decide to sell or maybe trade. I was also considering something late at night after I posted it on the #72 thread - I wanted it go to someone who had a sizable collection; someone deserving of it - but was convinced by someone to "please keep it". ::shrug:: I had to honor that wish.

Quick Steel, very fine Stag on your Camillus 4 blade Utility. Camillus Custom Shop ? or after market re-handle ? Wallace Rockwell would know.

Wallace went to work for Camillus in the 1970s, worked there 30+ years and was THE custom shop for Camillus. He does great work. I have a couple of 72s he rehandled for me, one in gold lip pearl, the other in pre-ban elephant ivory and they are out standing. I guess you could say that Wallace is to Camillus what Herman Williams is to Schrade.
