Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

How about this little 70? 2 5/8" closed. At $10 it was a pretty pricey knife in 1975!

I love the Camillus "Indian Stag" handles on the above knives. I believe it is the best looking delrin ever.

I am primarily a Buck collector, I'm even a member of the Buck Collectors Club, but it seems if you are a knife collector in any sense you cannot avoid being a Camillus collector too. My specialty has been the Buck 300 Series, specifically those made by Camillus, (including Special Factory Orders). After years of searching I now have at least one of each model, with a total of over 30 knives, ALL made by Camillus, so by default I am actually a Camillus collector it seems.
Rather than show that Buck-but-really-Camillus collection I thought I would post photos of the CC-branded knives that I have, the latest being a couple of Congresses. I think I have a few more in storage, probably a camp knife or two, but these are the ones I have out on my display log.

I'm not really sure of the manufacturing date of any of these other than pre 2007, so if anyone has a clue please pipe in.

Marlin Spike, (#96 or #97?), jigged Delrin, carbon blade, SS spike. This was the same frame used for the famous Buck #315. Local find, actually carried and used by a commercial fisherman.

A friend of mine sent me pictures of his display. I'm not a Camillus guy so I passed on it but thought I'd share it here. I think it's cool.

...I found one of those years ago, but it was just the shell, I had to rebuild it and put a display board in it with just horizontal shelves. also had to redo all the lettering on the outside of it, glad I did it years ago, I don't think I could do all that to one now!!!......... ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ...........

Camillus 4-line blade.
I like that an old parts knife could be given a second chance - & look so awesome! ::ds::

Wallace makes great 'Camillus' knives and sends them out sharp ! You get a custom level workmanship for a fraction of the price.

A nice honest Camillus congress that I think is neat, not the prettiest by any means but I like it.
All blades marked, steel bolsters, hammered pins, 4 1/8".
