Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

"Only mandatory for items being sent through the postal system, not for boxes going on a shelf"

Jerry, the knife owner had to mail the knife back to Schrade in Ellenville. The address given by Schrade for mailing back your knife has no ZIP.
I don't understand your comment. What am i not getting ?

Schrade had Camillus make the compleate 886UH knives, as Schrade owned Camillus.
The 886UH was sold in Department Stores, as a cheep alternative to the Schrade 885UH [no replacement guarantee etc.]
The Schrade 'Buck 301 knives, were too hard to repair, for warranty - So, Buck had the 301s made by Camillus until about 1976.
Dale Vincent has paperwork, from Schrade to Camillus - indicating Camillus made Blades for some of the Schrade knives...Ken
From left to right: One Buck, Four Camillus and Six 1968 to 1966 Schrade made knives.

An old 3 blade with mother of toilet seat handles.
A 3 line coffin handle with unusual cel handles.
A 4 line with snakeskin handles.
An old unofficial Scout
An old USA military issue.
An old one marked USA(I think this is a Camillus).

I liked it too. I bought it at an antique shop in Ashtabula Ohio awhile back when we were visiting my sister-in-law. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the edge and saw it had never been sharpened. That is why I elected to leave it as is.

Here is one I just found at an Indian Artifact show........ I went to see arrowheads and found a guy with knives....

From the tang stamp it looks like it was made between 1941 - 1946 I think.

Yep, Rogers bone handles, steel pins and probably steel liners and bolsters. I think you nailed it Mike. I have one just like it that has a chunk out of the mark side handle. Beauty handles, eh?

Yep, all steel... Yep, i like the scales. That is what caught my eye.
This guy had several knives in a case marked "any knife in this case $30"... I needed some more money.
